“Shop Next Door” is a documentary I produced with a small group of classmates for a Documentary Filmmaking class we took in undergrad. I served as Cinematographer and assisted in organizing shoots, finding participant businesses, and editing the film.
Focusing on three small businesses in Springfield, MO, this film explores the benefits of shopping locally, the relationships businesses build with their customers, and the unique experiences and perspectives of diverse businesses and their owners. I had an incredible time working on this project, and I grew to appreciate all the work and care these owners put into their businesses for the community.
