Feature Film: Uprooted

“Uprooted” is an action-adventure feature film that I directed during the fall semester of my senior year of undergrad. Filmed over the course of three months, the film premiered at the EU Films Showcase on December 7, 2018. Serving as director, I oversaw all of production and post-production, and I also co-wrote the film with fellow film student Holly Black. Together with my producer, D’Anna Fernandez, we were given the opportunity to helm a feature film with a crew of fellow students, and it was easily one of the best filmmaking experiences I have ever had.

Though being given a low budget and under constant time constraints, the film turned out well, thanks to an incredible video and audio editing staff. The film features an original score and several visual effects, and after many late nights and an all-night editing session, the film was finished on the very day of its premiere. To say that I am proud of my staff and crew is an understatement; this was a huge undertaking, and where many other EU Films crews came up short or failed altogether, we succeeded.

This film received 1st Place in the category of Feature Film.
