This animated short was a final project for an animation and visual effects class I took during my undergraduate years. It is a parody of popular animated shows from the early days of cartoons, such as Mickey Mouse and the Looney Tunes.
This is easily one of my favorite projects from my time studying film. Created in Adobe Animate, I started with hand-drawn characters before tracing and coloring them with the design tools in the program. After constructing each individual shot, I threw them all into Premiere and stitched them together before giving the video a scratched film overlay and adding music and sound effects.
I’ve always loved cartoons, so it was a real treat to be able to make this.
